Bollywood Star Saif Ali Khan Out of Danger Following Stabbing Incident

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, 54, is recovering after being stabbed during a home invasion at his Mumbai residence early on January 16, 2025. The incident occurred around 2:30 am when an intruder entered Khan's Bandra apartment and confronted a domestic employee. Khan intervened to protect his staff member, resulting in a scuffle during which he sustained six stab wounds, including two deep cuts—one near his spine and another on his left wrist. 

Khan was promptly taken to Lilavati Hospital by his elder son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, where he underwent emergency surgery. Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange led the procedure to remove a knife lodged in Khan's thoracic spinal cord and to repair a leakage of spinal fluid. The surgery was successful, and Khan is currently in recovery, reported to be out of danger.

Khan's wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two young sons were present during the incident but were unharmed. The intruder fled the scene, and Mumbai police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and questioning three individuals to determine how the assailant bypassed security measures.

The attack has raised concerns about the safety of celebrities in Mumbai, prompting calls for enhanced security in areas inhabited by public figures. Fans and colleagues have expressed their support for Khan, praising his bravery in protecting his family and staff.
